MC Rules
The MC protocol is a communication protocol used by Mitsubishi on Q series PLC for data exchange and communication with other devices. MC Rules refers to configuring the rule for Elastel gateway communicate data with Mitsubishi Q series PLC by MC protocol.
Go to Data Collect >> South Devices>> MC Rules to view and configure MC Rules list.
- Preview the current value that collected from southbound device under this rule communication
- Edit the added rule
- Delete the added rule
- Add a new rule
- Export and import the rules configuration in csv template file. This is useful for rules configuration backup and batch operation
Add a MC rule
Click “Add” button to add a new MC rule
- Set the MC rules order
- Specify the southbound device name
- Configure the belonged interface that the southbound device connected to apply the rule.
at Interface>> Serial Port Configuration or TCP Server Configuration should select “MC” protocol first before configure a MC communication rule

Configure the Tag Name of the data collected from southbound device.

Configure the Data Area of Mitsubishi Q series PLC. Options X*, Y*, M*, L*, F*, V*, B*, D*, W*, TN, SN, CN.

Configure the data start address

Configure the count of register quantity

Configure the data type of register. Options Bit, Int, Float

Specify the reporting center that the collected data be reported to. The number is associated to North App>>Reporting Server <1~5>

Configure the operator and operand for collected data

Configure the accuracy of calculated value, the number of decimal places

Enable/disable SMS&Email Reporting. It will send report to specified phone number and Email address when value changed or value out of certain range.
