DDNS

DDNS (Dynamic Domain Name System) is a service that maps a dynamic IP address to a fixed domain name, allowing users to access devices or services via a domain name even when the gateway IP address frequently changes. ElastPro integrate the Noip (https://www.noip.com/ ) DDNS service to provide domain access to Elastel gateway. This request you should have an account and configure DDNS service on Noip first.

Note

Remote access via DDNS request the Elastel gateway should obtain a reachable IP address (public IP address) from Wired or cellular network, the DDNS service just converting the dynamic IP address access to a fixed domain name.

ddns

  1. Enable/Disable DDNS service on Elastel gateway
  2. Select the WAN network interface, eth0 for Wired network, wwan0 for 4G cellular network
  3. Select noip.com as DDNS service provider
  4. Configure your Noip account username
  5. Configure your Noip account password
  6. Configure the update interval
  7. Configure the hostname you configured on Noip

After finished the settings, click Apply settings button, the domain hostname will be assigned the current gateway IP address, you should be able to access Elastel gateway via the hostname.
